Lace, Love, and Gratitude: A Christmas Letter from our owner Indiana
Dear loyal customers and my incredible team behind the scenes,
The holidays are here, and I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the year that’s been, share a few thoughts, and, most importantly, thank you for being part of the Naked Curve journey. This little dream of mine has turned into something I’m endlessly proud of, and it’s all thanks to you… Our incredible customers, supporters, and cheerleaders.
The Rollercoaster of Small Business Life
Owning a small business is a lot like wearing a strapless bra in summer… You’ve got to keep adjusting, and sometimes it’s downright uncomfortable. This year has thrown more challenges at us than I can count. The biggest thorn in our side? Meta shutting down our ad account four times. Yep, four. Every time it happened, I felt like screaming into a pillow, but instead, we rolled up our sleeves, figured it out, and kept going.
Because when you run a small business, giving up isn’t an option. You keep pushing through the hard days, celebrate the wins (no matter how small), and remind yourself why you started in the first place. For me, that’s creating lingerie that makes women feel seen, sexy, and unstoppable.
Seven Years Strong
Can you believe Naked Curve has been around for seven years? What started as a tiny operation in Sydney has blossomed into a thriving Gold Coast business. There’s something so special about being part of a journey like this – from packing orders in my living room to seeing our pieces on women all over the world.
We’ve grown, adapted, and learned so much along the way. There have been tears, laughter, and plenty of “What were we thinking?!” moments, but through it all, we’ve kept going. And that’s thanks to YOU!!!!! Every order, every message, and every bit of support has made this possible.
A Huge Shoutout to the Dream Team
Now, I need to talk about the real MVPs: My incredible team. These legends work tirelessly behind the scenes, putting in the hours, the effort, and yes, sometimes a little blood, sweat, and tears.
From designing collections to packing orders, managing social media, and everything in between, they’ve gone above and beyond to make Naked Curve what it is today. It’s not always glamorous, but their passion and dedication are the heartbeat of this business. I couldn’t do it without them, and I’m so grateful to have them by my side.
Life Gets in the Way, but We Keep Going
If there’s one thing this year has taught me, it’s that life doesn’t wait for the perfect moment. There will always be roadblocks, unexpected challenges, and days when you feel like you’re drowning in to-do lists. But success comes from showing up.
Even when it’s hard
Even when you’re exhausted
Even when everything feels impossible.
To anyone dreaming of starting their own business, here’s my advice: it’s not easy. It takes grit, passion, and a thick skin. You’ll make mistakes, and there will be days when you wonder why you even started. But if you’re willing to put in the work and believe in yourself, you’ll be amazed at what you can achieve.
Looking Ahead to 2025
As we head into the new year, I’m feeling a mix of elation and gratitude about what’s to come.
A new direction,
New collections,
New challenges,
And hopefully, there will be fewer Meta meltdowns.
I'm also grateful to each and every one of you who have supported us along the way.
You’re not just customers: You’re part of the Naked Curve family. Your love and support mean the world to me, and I can’t wait to keep creating beautiful collections that make you feel like the absolute smoke show you are.
From the bottom of my heart, I want to wish you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. May your holidays be filled with love, laughter, and maybe a cheeky little something from Naked Curve!
Thank you for sticking with us through thick and thin this year. Here’s to another year of prioritising the things that bring you pleasure, making time for everything that brings you joy and chasing unrealistic dreams.
Stay romantic, stay playful, and keep showing up.
With love and gratitude,
Indiana | Founder & Ownerxo
